Why Pasture Raised/Grass Fed? Grass fed beef is typically lower in fat. This provides a leaner, lower calorie, and easier to digest beef. Grass fed beef also has less mono-unsaturated fats, up to 5xs the Omega 3 fatty acids, significantly higher anti-oxidants, and about 300-500% as much Conjugated Linoleic Acid (studies have linked CLA to several health benefits including fat loss and increased resistance to things like heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes). Our cows are eating their natural diet and behaving in their natural way, roaming free on fresh pastures. Not only does this create a significant POSITIVE environmental impact, we believe this is also important for animal well being. Significant research has been done that shows animals with less stress hormones taste better.
